Thank You and Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year

Hello to each and every one

It is Christmas time.  It is the time of the year that I take a good look at my life including getting present to all those who have contributed to my life. I am clear that you have contributed to my life in 2012.

I say thank you to each and every person who is subscribing to this blog.  You matter, you make a difference to me and my life.  I am clear that I am called forth to write and keep putting my authentic voice into the world only because your provide a listening for this voice of mine.  Without your listening there would be no value in my speaking/writing.

I thank each and every person who has provided me with encouragement whether by commenting on this blog, my reaching out to me via email and/or by retweeting on Twitter.  In particular, I thank Adrian Swinscoe, James Lawther, Kristin Zhivago, Colin Taylor, Annette Franz Gleneicki, Mary Bartels-Cook, Richard Sheahan and Richard Shapiro.

I thank Bob Thompson at CustomerThink for reaching out to me back in March 2011.  For providing encouragement when it was welcome. And for being a great ‘sparring partner’ in 2012.  It was great meeting you face to face this year Bob.  And I thank Neil Davey at MyCustomer.com.  It was great to meet you face to face as well Neil.

I thank Kevin Smith and Nick Davey for sticking with me pretty much since the beginning of this blog – you are the first two people to subscribe to this blog.  And you have stuck with me for 2 years and 2 months!

I thank Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino for being the person that helped me to set this blog up back in the summer of 2010. Whilst we have not been in touch, I carry you in my heart and wish you the very best.

If I should have mentioned you and have not mentioned you then please forgive me.  And do know that I am truly grateful to each and every person who has taken an interest in The Customer Blog and/or me.  I am clear that you and I exist in this world together.

I wish each and every one of you a great Christmas and the very best for the New Year.

And finally, I ask that you get present to the fact that you matter: how you show up in the world does make a difference

At your service and with my love

Maz

  1. Thank you, Maz, for publishing your thoughts for so many to read. You have been a breath of fresh air and positive reinforcement this year. It is so pleasant and inspiring to read your writings and I am so thrilled to find someone who talks about customers and service the way it should always be! I love the examples you give and how you discect down to the little things that truly matter. Merry Christmas and a splendid Happy New 2013 Year.

    • From my heart to yours, from my existence to your existence: I am grateful that you exist and I thank you for the kindness and generosity that you shower me with. It occurs to me that I am not a natural at this kind of thing – blogging. And every act of kindness, like yours, provides me with the motivational fuel to carry on sharing that which I have to share.

Why is that? Because I write from a particular context. Not one of marketing. Not one of fame. No, I strive to write from a context of making a contribution. My life matters to me. How I spend my time matters to me. And when you write that which you write you let me know that I am being my stand and using my life well. In short, I am making a contribution. And that is the greatest gift that you can shower me with.

I thank you. And I wish you the very best – today, tomorrow, for 2013, for the rest of your life. Please do reach out to me if I can be of help to you.

    • Hello Kristin
I marvel at your kindness, your generosity. And I hold your brother as my example of an ‘exceptional human being’.

It occurs to me that I am most comfortable being a ‘ordinary human being’ with an extraordinary commitment of ‘being a decent human being’ and contributing to a ‘world that works, none excluded’.

I thank you for your gift of kindness. Please know that your existence makes a difference to my existence. I am grateful that you exist and that you and I are in communication. For my part, I am clear that it is a honour and a delight to know you and be in communication with you.

I wish you the very best for today, for tomorrow, for 2013 and for the rest of your life.

Thank you. It occurs to me that it is the same for me. It has been a pleasure to read your work and to share my take on it. It has been a pleasure to read your take on that which I write and to respond to your questions.

I am grateful that you exist. And I wish you the very best today, tomorrow, in 2013 and for the rest of your living.

    • Hello Annette

You speak words that generate delight in my heart. You speak words that show up that I am being my stand and travelling the path that I chose to travel through this blog. And for that you have my deepest gratitude.

What else is there for me to share? The truth. That I am delighted that you exist, that our paths have crossed. And that we are in communication.

Christmas has been great. The right mixture of human company/celebrating life and solitude/reflection on how I am showing up in life and my experience of living. I hope your Christmas has been great too – for you, for your kinds, for your family.

I wish you a life of joy and one of mattering – today, tomorrow, 2013 and for the rest of your days. And may you live a long time and be a massive contribution to the lives of all those who come in touch with you.

    • Hello Adrian

Many thanks. The same feelings show up for me when I think of you. I am present to our telephone conversation and the kindness/generosity you bestowed upon me. I am present to meeting up in London and enjoying your company. I am present to my experience of reading that which you write, learning and then commenting – sharing that which I have to contribute. And I thank you for that privilege.

What is left to say? That I am grateful that you are in this world. And that you and I are in communication. I look forward to continuing our interactions in 2013 and meeting up face to face once again.

I wish you the very best today, tomorrow, in 2013 and for the rest of your days.

    • Dear Richard,

You merit a special mention as you show up as a special person in my life. I am truly grateful for that which we have shared with one another. And that contribution that you have made to my life. It is not often that it occurs to me that I have come across a kindred soul in all things human. I thank you for that gift.

I thank you for your kind words. To show up as a “gentlemen and scholar” occurs as delightful. Why? Because that is how I like to think of myself. And so it is great to get this validation from you – a person whom I value and whose opinion I value.

For my part, I wish you, your boys, your family the very best today, tomorrow, in 2013 and for the rest of your lives. I so hope that all of you will be a source of contribution to all the lives that you touch! And, yes, I too, look forward to the day that you and I meet face to face!

At your service and with my love
      Maz
